The main room at 403 Main set for twelve: a long table in gold Chiavari chairs, a black brick fireplace and a chandelier.

Gather beautifully.

A small gathering space on Main Street in Huntsville, Missouri — made for the people who actually fit around your table.

Some celebrations are better small.

403 Main holds one room, one kitchen and one long table's worth of people. That is the whole idea. Everyone hears the toast. Nobody sits at the far table. The host is a guest at their own party.

We are not a hall you have to fill or a blank room you have to fix. The house already has character — tall windows, French doors, a mantel, and a collected library of decor — so most gatherings need very little added to feel considered.

Designed for gathering.

Verified details — capacity, inclusions, rental blocks, kitchen use, parking and accessibility — belong on this page and nowhere else. Every one of them is marked below until 403 Main confirms it.

What people gather here for

One space. Many ways to gather.

The room changes shape depending on what you're doing in it. These are the three arrangements we set most often.

The long table

One table, one conversation. Best for dinners, rehearsal dinners and showers where the meal is the event.

Up to 36 banquet-style.

Rounds

Smaller groups at each table with room to move between them. Best for showers with games, luncheons and celebrations of life.

Up to 24 at our six rounds.

Ceremony & workshop

Chairs facing forward with the serving table along the wall. Best for vows, classes and small programs.

More than 36 in rows — tell us your number.

A long grazing board running the length of a table: cheeses, cured meats, olives, hummus, fruit, crackers and edible flowers.
Your gathering doesn't have to be large to feel significant.

Come gather awhile.

A few times a season we open the house to whoever wants a seat — a supper club, a lunch, a workshop. Tickets go first to the people on our list.

Supper clubs, Wednesday lunches, workshops. Seats go to the list first.

403 S. Main, Huntsville.

The house sits on Main Street in Huntsville, the county seat of Randolph County, a few miles west of Moberly. It was the parsonage for the church next door, and couples were married inside it by the preacher who lived here. We are still doing a version of that.

Huntsville sits inside the Columbia–Moberly–Mexico region, so most of Mid-Missouri is an easy drive: Moberly and Cairo within minutes, Macon, Fayette, Centralia and Mexico a short run, Columbia around forty minutes, and Fulton, Marshall, Kirksville and Jefferson City comfortably reachable for a gathering worth travelling to.

About 30 miles north of Columbia, just off Highway 24 — roughly halfway between Kansas City and St. Louis.

What are you gathering for?

Two minutes. Give us a name and a date and we will come back with availability.
