MILESTONE BIRTHDAYS

Fifty, sixty, seventy, eighty.

The birthdays grown children plan for their parents — often from somewhere else. A long table, the people who matter, and a room that feels like a celebration the moment they walk in.

A birthday table in pink and yellow: a framed number in an antique mirror frame, brass candlesticks and cupcakes on a scalloped pink stand.
The big-number birthday
A long table set with woven chargers, striped napkins, tapers and a sunflower centrepiece, with a Happy Birthday sign on the mantel.
One long table
Two long black-clothed tables under a rainbow balloon garland, each place set with a cupcake and a coloured taper.

Planning from away.

  • Plan by phone or video. Talk it through with Angela without driving in.
  • Send one link. An RSVP page collects replies to your phone, and a welcome page gives guests the day's details.
  • Split it fairly. Siblings sharing the cost can use the cost splitter.
  • Make it easy for them. Ramp access, an accessible restroom and drop-off at the front sidewalk.

Good to know

Is it easy for older guests?

Yes. Guests can be dropped at the front sidewalk, ramps lead up and into the house, and the main room, kitchen and restroom are wheelchair accessible.

Can we serve wine for the toast?

Yes, bring your own. A cash bar needs a licensed bartender, a signed waiver is required, no one under 21 is served, and no shots.

Where do guests park?

In the driveway, with overflow next door in the church lot or along Main Street.

Whose birthday is it?

The number, the date and roughly how many. We can plan it by phone if you live away.
