Where it is

403 S. Main St., Huntsville, Missouri 65259, in Randolph County. Just off Highway 24, about 30 miles north of Columbia, and roughly halfway between Kansas City and St. Louis. Moberly is the nearest larger town.

The room

The main room is 19 by 30 feet, with a craftsman built-in bookcase, a fireplace and built-in banquette seating. It seats 36 guests banquet-style at one long table or 24 at six round tables. Open houses, theater-style rows and more fluid events can hold more. The backyard has been completely redone and is open for bookings. Ask about using it for your gathering.

What's included

Four 6-foot and six 8-foot banquet tables, six 40-inch round tables, two 4-by-2-foot tables, four high-top cocktail tables and 65 gold Chiavari chairs for indoor use. Staff set up the tables and chairs before your event and take them down afterwards.

Rental times

On weekends, a half day runs 9am to 2pm or 4pm to 9pm, and a full day runs 9am to 9pm. On weekdays the room can be rented by the hour, and 3-hour partial rentals are available. Additional hours are $75 each.

Booking and the retainer

A $100 retainer holds your date and time and is applied to the balance of your package. It is refunded if you cancel more than 60 days before your event; within 60 days it is not. Extra cleaning or damage is charged separately. Your booking agreement sets the full terms.

Food and kitchen

Bring your own food, use a licensed and insured caterer of your choice, or use 403 Main's in-house catering, made in the venue's own kitchen using local producers where possible. The end-prep kitchen has a double refrigerator, a glass cooktop with stove, a microwave and a pot filler; the gas cooktop is not included. With 403 Main catering, the final guest count is due two weeks before and payment one week before.

Alcohol

403 Main does not hold a liquor license and does not sell alcohol. Guests may bring their own and hire a licensed bartender; a cash bar requires a bartender with a liquor license. A signed waiver holding 403 Main LLC harmless is required. No one under 21 may be served, and no shots.

Parking and access

Guests park in the driveway, with overflow next door in the church parking lot or along Main Street. Guests can be dropped off at the front sidewalk; a large ramp leads up to the house and a short ramp leads inside. The main room, kitchen and restroom are wheelchair accessible.

Services

Event styling and design, décor rentals (individual pieces or bundled packages, with custom pieces made to order), custom floral design, catering, planning support, and event styling at other venues. Décor, floral and menu choices are finalized two weeks before an event. Styling work is also known as A Design Co.

Who runs it

403 Main is hosted by Angela Seiders, the designer behind A Design Co. — meet your host.

Clean-up

Staff take down tables and chairs, launder linens and do the final cleaning. During an event, the host or caterer clears tables and removes trash; before leaving, serving ware is rinsed or loaded into the dishwasher, the floor swept and décor collected. A clean-up service is available at extra cost.
